One of the most iconic vehicles in automotive history is the Jeep Wrangler. Everyone recognizes it when they see it and it has generated a following of passionate drivers and off-roaders. But many people, including Jeep, had wondered what would happen if you combined the off-roading prowess of the Wrangler with the open-bed capability of a pickup?
Out of that vision, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator was born, and it’s one of the vehicles we are most excited to show drivers here in Dalton. The Gladiator can handle it all, from water fording up to depths of 30 inches to navigating over peaks and forest debris with a ground clearance up to 11.1 inches.
Other aspects of the Gladiator that will appeal to the off-road lover is the Rock-Trac® 4:1 Transfer Case sending a ton of torque to the wheels thanks to an 84:1 crawl ratio that is perfect for the steepest of inclines. Then, there is Off-Road+, allowing you to adjust throttle, transmission and traction for a greater off-road experience. The whole package is powered by a V6 engine cranking out 260 lb-ft of torque and 285 horsepower.
Some of the more pickup-like qualities of the Gladiator include its 7,650 lb towing capacity, as well as a payload capacity of 1,700 lb. In addition, the bed of the Gladiator features a 115-volt/400-watt power outlet for work sites, camping or gameday tailgating. Meanwhile, the interior of the vehicle has a premium-level feel and offers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for connectivity, as well as a lockable storage unit in the rear seating area.
There is no doubt that the 2020 Jeep Gladiator is one of the most unique models to arrive on the market in recent years, and with cookie-cutter SUVs roaming the highways, it is a welcome site. To learn more about it, get in touch with us at Jenkins Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.
